Euphoria Season 3: Cast, Release Date and More

Euphoria Season 3: Fans of HBO’s hit series “Euphoria” can finally rejoice, as the long-awaited third season is officially slated to start production. According to HBO, filming will kick off in January 2025, with all key cast members set to return.

Francesca Orsi, executive vice president of HBO programming and head of drama series and films, shared her excitement about the upcoming production: “We are thrilled to begin filming in January. Our creative collaboration with Sam [Levinson] and this incredible cast has been amazing, and we can’t wait to bring the next chapter of ‘Euphoria’ to life for our dedicated fans.”

The delay in starting production means that Season 3 will begin shooting nearly three years after the Season 2 premiere. The postponement was originally announced in March 2024 due to several factors. These included the writers’ and actors’ strikes in 2023, the rising fame of the cast leading to packed schedules, and creator Sam Levinson’s decision to write the entire season personally.

Fans can expect the return of some familiar faces. Zendaya will reprise her role as Rue, and Sydney Sweeney will return as Cassie. They will be joined by Hunter Schafer (Jules), Jacob Elordi (Nate), Alexa Demie (Maddy), Algee Smith (Chris), Maude Apatow (Lexi), Storm Reid (Gia), Nika King (Leslie), Austin Abrams (Ethan), and Colman Domingo (Ali).

Rumours of casting auditions began circulating in early 2024 when DeuxMoi hinted that actors in Los Angeles had been auditioning for new roles. Jacob Elordi, during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, joked about his concerns about aging out of his character Nate if production doesn’t begin soon. He humorously remarked, “I hope filming starts soon, otherwise they’ll have to Benjamin Button me. I’ll have a bad back walking down the hallway.”

With filming just months away, anticipation is building for another intense and emotional season of “Euphoria.” Fans will have to wait a little longer, but it promises to be worth it.
