Discussing her role, Ananya shared her thoughts on the film’s themes, saying, “My character, Nella, is just like anyone else—immersed in a world ruled by technology and social media. CTRL examines the balance between who we present online and who we truly are in reality. Collaborating with Vikram sir and Nikhil sir has been an amazing experience, and I’m excited for everyone to witness the dynamic between Nella and Allen unfold on screen.”

Director’s Vision for ‘CTRL’

Director Vikramaditya Motwane described the project as a distinctive and innovative challenge. “CTRL is a journey like no other. It’s told in what we call the ‘screen life’ format, where the story unfolds in a voyeuristic style through the everyday technology we all use. Our mission was to create an immersive experience, and Netflix has given us a fantastic platform to share this with audiences globally,” he explained.

Trailer Breakdown

The trailer introduces us to Nella and Joe, a content-creating couple whose breakup leaves Nella grappling with the fallout. In an attempt to regain control, she turns to AI to manage her unravelling life while maintaining an online persona that suggests everything is fine. The film raises compelling questions, such as, “How much of your life are you willing to share online, and do you lose control in the process?”

CTRL promises to be a thrilling exploration of identity, control, and the power of technology in today’s world.
