In this film, Jr. NTR plays a dual role, portraying Deva and Vara. The movie also marks the Telugu debut of Bollywood stars Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor, with Saif playing the antagonist Bhaira. The cast is further enriched by seasoned performers such as Prakash Raj, Srikanth Meka, Murali Sharma, Shine Tom Chacko, and Abhimanyu Singh.

Where Will You Be Able to Watch ‘Devara Part 1’?

As per various reports, Netflix is set to stream the Jr. NTR-Janhvi Kapoor starrer, having allegedly secured the digital rights for a staggering sum of Rs 100 crore. However, these details are yet to be officially confirmed by the film’s production team.

Box Office Competition

At the box office, Devara will face competition from two other big releases—Karthi and Arvind Swamy’s Tamil rural comedy-drama “Meiyazhagan” and Anjini Dhawan’s Hindi film debut, “Binny And Family“. Despite the competition, Devara is already generating significant buzz, with many expecting it to dominate due to Jr. NTR’s massive fan following.

Devara: A Brief Synopsis

Devara (played by Jr. NTR) is the leader of Yerra Samudram, a group of four villages located near Ratnagiri. Alongside Bhaira (played by Saif Ali Khan) and Narappa (Srikanth), he engages in piracy for a powerful criminal named Muruga (Murali Sharma), looting cargo ships for profit. However, upon discovering that these shipments contain weapons used to oppress innocent people, Devara decides to end his involvement. This enrages Bhaira, who manipulates Narappa to betray Devara.

Following a fierce battle in which Devara defeats his attackers, he vows to protect his village, warning everyone against further smuggling activities. Twelve years later, Vara, Devara’s cowardly son, is forced by Bhaira to continue his father’s illegal work, setting the stage for an epic confrontation.
