In January 2023, Netflix announced that the show had been renewed for a second season.

In an interview with Tudum, Wednesday showrunners Miles Millar and Al Gough said, “Our goal this season was to discover some fresh faces as well as invite some acting legends we’ve always admired to join Jenna and the gang at Nevermore.” On the cast of Wednesday season 2, they said, “When we survey the talent we’ve assembled we could not be more thrilled. Mission accomplished.” The announcement teaser for Wednesday Season 2 promised more “torture” ahead.
Who is in the Wednesday Season 2 cast?
According to Netflix’s news website Tudum, Ortega will lead Wednesday season 2 and play the role of the executive producer. Emma Myers (Enid Sinclair), Joy Sunday (Bianca Barclay), Moosa Mostafa (Eugene), Georgie Farmer (Ajax), and Victor Dorobantu (Thing) are set to return alongside Ortega in supporting roles.
Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams), Luis Guzmán (Gomez Addams), Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley Addams), Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo (Deputy Ritchie Santiago) have all become series regulars. Jamie McShane (Sheriff Donovan Galpin) and Fred Armisen (Uncle Fester) will also return in guest-starring roles.
Season 2 will expand upon the Adam’s family universe by introducing a slew of new series regulars, including: Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor who are confirmed to make an appearance. Other guest actors include Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, Thandiwe, Christopher Lloyd, and Joanna Lumley.
When will Wednesday Season 2 Release?
Actors started shooting for the second season of Wednesday in May of 2024. It is expected that the shooting will continue till November 2024 in Ireland. Based on the production schedule we can expect the season to release by mid-September of 2025 or early 2026.

Jenna Ortega Credits Her Mother For Saving Her From Misconduct On Sets As A Child Star
In an interview with The New York Times, Ortega said that she was lucky to have never endured misconduct as a kid on sets because her mother “watched over me like a hawk.” She divulged that even though she hasn’t seen “Quiet on Set” about sexual misconduct on Nickelodeon sets her mother did. She said, “I think for her, it was more pain because she had seen the way that other children maybe weren’t protected or weren’t as looked after.” She later acknowledged in the interview that “child acting is strange.” “I see why my parents felt so hesitant about it because you’re putting a child in an adult workplace,” Ortega said.
