Sundar C has announced a new film with Vadivelu, on the comedy legend’s birthday, marking his reunion with the actor after 15 years. Known for their successful collaborations in films like “Winner,” “Giri,” “Thalainagaram,” and “London,” the duo last worked together in “Nagaram Marupakkam,” released in 2010.
Sundar C will not only direct “Gangers” but also play the lead role. The film, described as a comedy-drama, features Catherine Tresa as the female lead, with a supporting cast that includes Bagavathi Perumal, Esakki Krishnasamy, Hareesh Peradi, Mime Gopi, and Munishkanth.
Details about the plot and release date are still under wraps. The technical crew includes C Sathya as the music composer, E Krishnasamy as the cinematographer, and Praveen Antony as the editor. “Gangers” is produced by Khushbu and Sundar C under their Avni Cinemax banner, with Benzz Media Pvt Ltd and ACS Arun Kumar presenting the film.
This announcement follows the success of Sundar C’s recent film “Aranmanai 4,” which became the first top-grossing Tamil film of the year, leaving fans eager to see what he has in store with “Gangers.”
