The Salem Seven’s Origins Unveiled in Agatha All Along
As Lilia reveals, the Salem Seven are the children of the original coven that Agatha wiped out (as seen in WandaVision). Agatha spared the children, who grew up to become a vengeful, hive-minded coven bent on destroying her. “Moral of the story: always finish what you start. And mercy? Highly overrated,” Agatha quips as she rushes to escape.
But it’s too late—the Salem Seven are already upon them. With no magic left, they have to find a practical way to flee. Teen suggests using brooms, a seemingly ridiculous idea, but the coven quickly agrees. They enchant tree roots and take flight, but the Witches Road soon forces them back down, leading them to the next trial.
They find refuge in a cabin, where they’re suddenly dressed in 80s-inspired clothes. It seems the Salem Seven can’t enter, but the coven must complete this new trial before their enemies find a way in. Rio declares that the trial is Agatha’s, as the blood moon outside, indicates that the veil between life and death is at its thinnest. The best candidate to commune with the dead? Teen finds an Ouija board, and with only 30 minutes to complete the task, they begin the séance. The spirit spells out “MRSHART,” but before anyone can react, Agatha pretends to be possessed by Mrs Hart—only to mock her coven with more jokes. However, the real trial starts when they contact a spirit with a much darker message: “DEATH” seeks to punish Agatha.
As the coven contemplates this, supernatural chaos ensues, and Agatha takes refuge, hiding from her increasingly hostile companions. When Teen spots Agatha, now transformed into a grey, cracked, and feral figure, chaos breaks loose. Lilia eventually dispels the terrifying vision, revealing that Agatha was possessed by her own mother, Evanora Harkness.
Evanora’s Revenge and Teen’s True Identity
Evanora’s ghost, filled with unfinished business, tells the coven they must leave Agatha behind on the Witches Road to face her punishment. Evanora’s resentment toward Agatha is chilling, as she declares, “You were born evil. I should’ve killed you the moment you were born.”
As the tension mounts, Jen insists they abandon Agatha, but Teen pleads with the group to save her. In a twist, Evanora takes control of Agatha again and attacks, but Alice steps in to summon her powers, expelling Evanora from Agatha’s body. This act allows Agatha to siphon Alice’s power, though the victory is short-lived.
At the same time, Teen discovers through the Ouija board that the spirit of Nicholas Scratch—Agatha’s son—has joined the battle. Just as Agatha prepares to finish off Alice, Teen hears Nicholas’ voice pleading for her to stop. The door to the next trial opens, but Alice has already succumbed, drained of life.
With the coven turning against Agatha, they prepare to leave her behind. As they exit, Agatha secretly regains her powers. However, Teen confronts her, accusing her of manipulating the situation. Agatha dismisses his concerns, taunting him by claiming he’s more like his mother than he knows. It’s then that Teen’s identity is revealed—his blue magic crackles, and a crown resembling the Scarlet Witch’s forms on his head.
