K-pop fans have a lot to celebrate as two of the industry’s rising stars, ILLIT and aespa, are both gearing up for comebacks on October 21. ILLIT is set to drop their second mini album, I’LL LIKE YOU, sparking excitement with their evolving sound and new concept. aespa, known for their genre-defying music and cutting-edge visuals, will also make their highly anticipated return, further cementing their global influence.
According to their agency on Monday, K-pop girl group ILLIT is scheduled to release their second extended play (EP) in October, marking the beginning of their first comeback.
The EP, titled “I’ll Like You,” will be available on October 21, according to a statement from Belift Lab. The five-piece ensemble made their musical comeback with this album, which comes seven months after their March EP “Super Real Me” debut.
“Following the narrative of ‘Super Real Me,’ which focused on capturing ‘my true self,’ ‘I’ll Like You’ tells the story of the ‘self’ that becomes deeply immersed in the moment,” Belift stated about the next record.
“ILLIT portrays their candid charm in ‘I’ll Like You’ as they encounter a ‘you’ they wish to get closer to, navigate moments of doubt, and ultimately follow their heart to discover their own answers,” it stated.
Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, and Iroha are among the members of ILLIT, which was established in 2023 as a result of the reality competition series “R U Next?” “Magnetic,” the quintet’s debut track, made history by becoming the first K-pop act’s debut song to reach the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart.
Adding to the buzz, rookie group BABYMONSTER is nearing their debut album release, with music videos in production for several tracks.
