Following her recent appearance in The Interest of Love with Yoo Yeon Seok, fans have been eagerly awaiting news of her next role. And now, it seems the actress is all set to headline a new K-drama, possibly starring opposite another Hallyu favorite!
Moon Ga Young has received an offer to play the lead role in Seochodong, an upcoming legal drama. According to reports from Soompi, her agency PEAK J Entertainment revealed, “She is positively reviewing the offer.” Adding to the excitement, Lee Jong Suk, famed for his role in Romance Is a Bonus Book, is also in talks to take on the male lead.
What’s the Plot of Seochodong?
Seochodong will focus on the lives of lawyers working at the same firm. If she accepts, Moon Ga Young will portray Kang Hee Ji, a confident and straightforward second-year lawyer who believes that helping someone change their life can transform their world. Meanwhile, Lee Jong Suk is in negotiations to play Ahn Joo Hyung, a seasoned lawyer with nine years of experience. Despite his striking looks and impressive credentials, Joo Hyung has a blunt and no-nonsense attitude.
Release Date of Seochodong
This would mark the first on-screen collaboration between Moon Ga Young and Lee Jong Suk. Additionally, Lee Jong Suk will reunite with director Park Seung Woo, known for his work on W, as he is set to direct Seochodong. The series is aiming for a 2025 release, with production expected to begin later in 2024.
