4 K-Dramas to Watch While You Wait for Love Next Door’s Upcoming Episodes

Being a K-drama lover can be exhausting at times, what with the long week’s wait for the latest episodes. The ongoing rom-com K-drama Love Next Door has us waiting (and wanting) more every Saturday. But the wait doesn’t have to turn into boredom. Here are 4 k-dramas that you can binge-watch (and finish!) while you wait for the next Saturday night to roll over. There is something for everyone here be it a friends-to-lovers trope or something featuring the very handsome Jung Hae-In!

Welcome to Samdal-ri

A fall from grace. The main lead returns to her hometown. A childhood best- friend pining for her. The rekindling of an unfinished romance between two neighbours. This Ji Chang-Wook and Shin Hye-sun drama has got it all! Welcome to Samdal-ri has a similar story to Love Next Door but a more calm and healing vibe to it since it’s based in Jeju island and not the city. It has a more relaxed and summery vibe to it for those who mourn the loss of bright summers.

One Spring Night

One Spring Night features Jung Hae In and Han Ji-Min in a highly relatable yet comforting show. The series revolves around librarian Lee Jeong-in and the pharmacist and single father Yu Ji-ho who have both given up on the ideas of love and finding a soulmate. Until they find each other. But things aren’t sailing smoothly for them all throughout the show until the end as they face an extra clingy ex and Jeong-in’s family’s disapproval of her possibly being with a single father. If you happen to have lost all hope in the idea of love but still hope for it to be true, then this K-drama is right up your alley.

Our Beloved Summer

Our Beloved Summer is the GOAT that restarted the love for friends-to-lovers trope in K-drama back in 2021. The drama features Choi Woo-shik and Kim Da-mi as two former enemies turned to friends turned to lovers who went viral for being featured in a high school documentary. Their romance is rekindled after they come together on camera once again and right into each other’s lives. Their chemistry is undeniable and makes for a hilarious watch.

Fight for My Way

Remember when I said Our Beloved Summer restarted the Friends to Lovers trope in Kramas? Well the OG happens to be the Park Seo-joon and Kim Ji-Won starter Figt for My Way from back in 2017. Fight for My Way has everything: ride or die best friends, finding your dreams, then fighting for your dreams. Childhood friends Ko Dong Man, a former taekwondo champion and Choi Ae Ra, the absolute aego queen and a receptionist try to make their own path in life as life throws obstacles in their path. Ae Ra’s sassiness and Dong Man’s cluelessness make for the perfect couple on screen and will leave you wanting more.
